Hi, my name is Brooke Parker, and I am a Junior majoring in Biology at Ole Miss. This summer I am participating in a program called Semester at Seas founded by the University of Virginia. There will be 500 students on a cruise ship navigating around the world. I will be taking three classes on the ship while visiting seven different countries in 66 days: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Turkey, Morocco, Greece, and Portugal. In each country I have many field studies planned to immerse myself in their culture. I will be visiting orphanages, children’s hospitals, dining with a Moroccan family, snorkeling, riding camels in the deserts of Africa, taking cooking classes,etc. So many neat experiences that I am so excited about!
